ICP Solar is recognized as a world leader in amorphous silicon manufacturing technology

ICP Solar has a wealth of experience developing solar products and solutions using not only amorphous silicon (a-Si) but also other technologies such as polycrystalline and CIGS, a rare hearth solar cell compound.

Solar Panels Technology

At ICP Solar, we don’t simply provide solar panels; we look at ways to customize the total solar solution according to our customers’ needs and expectations. Our goal is to design and engineer the best possible solar solutions for our customers and industry partners.

Focused on engineering value-added products, we take a rational practical power approach rather than one based on laboratory standard test conditions (STC), as these are rarely reproduced in the field regardless of the location or the application.

Solar Panels Technology

Our UK-based production facility is responsible for the development of our proprietary Advanced Thin Film (ATF) process, which provides our customers with the best performing a-Si single junction base product available worldwide. Stringent quality management systems, innovative process technology and proven technical leadership form the basis of our continuous improvement programs and policies. Our facility is ISO 9001:2000 certified and soon to be ISO/TS16949 validated.

Solar technology is constantly undergoing research and development in countries the world round. ICP Solar recognizes the benefits of R&D and, as such, we are actively involved with several R&D initiatives either alone or in partnership with industry, academia and recognized agencies.

Current R&D studies include:

  • ATF process in double junction technology
  • Large chamber deposition process
  • Flexible solar cell deposition process
  • Organic solar cell development
