This following section is for you:

Q- I’m new to solar, what do I need to do to get started?
A- Visiting our online Solar Calculator is recommended to help you determine the amount of power you need.

Note: As the calculator uses ideal conditions, additional power may be required, for further assistance in sizing your system please contact us at: 888-427-7652

Q- What does a charge controller do?
A- A charge controller is recommended in most charging systems, installs between the solar panel and the battery, and is designed to prevent the overcharging of your battery.

Q-  Which solar panel is compatible with the SolarGRIP adjustable mount?
A- The Sunsei SolarGRIP is designed for use with the SE-400 only.

Q-  Can I use the Glue mounting and Pole mounting kits with the SE-1200?
A-  No., the Sunsei glue mounting and pole mounting kits are designed for use with the SE-4000, SE-6000, SE-8000 only.

Q- If I connect (2) Sunsei SE-1200 (18 Watt) solar panels together, how much power will I have?
A- Connecting (2) Sunei SE-1200 panels together would effectively double your power to 36 Watts!
Tip:  It’s all in the name, our new Sunsei brand SE-4000 is rated at 4000mA or 4 Amps, the SE-1200 rated at 1200mA or 1.2Amps, etc.

Q- How do I check to see if my solar panel is working?
A- Firstly, check all wiring is securely fastened, and connected with the correct polarity (+,-)
Secondly, take measurements.  All solar panels require that their Voltage and Amperage be measured to determine performance.  Please find the voltage test below
Conduct this test on a clear day in direct sunlight at noon, using a Digital Multimeter for best results. Please disconnect from the battery and charge controller before testing if applicable.
Set your meter to VDC on a range greater than 20V DC.
Connect V(+) wire on the meter to the positive wire of the solar panel, and COM(-) wire on the meter to the negative wire of the solar panel. You should expect a reading of 17V to 24V DC.
