Canadian Solar Industries Association (CanSIA)The Canadian Solar Industries Association was formed in 1978 to serve the interests of Canada's solar thermal industry, and was known as the CSIA. The Canadian Photovoltaic Industries Association (CPIA) was formed in 1989 to represent the interests of the new PV industry. CanSIA is a federally registered non-profit association whose membership comprises individuals, companies and governments that share an interest in solar technology. Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA)The Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA) is a collaboration of utilities, energy service providers and the photovoltaic industry working together to create and encourage commercial use of new solar electric power business models. SEPA helps to establish standards for photovoltaic systems and their interconnection to the utility grid, hosts cross-industry workshops, and manages educational and outreach campaigns. Renewable Power Association (RPA)The RPA is a trade association whose membership spans the range of renewable technologies and resources, and also includes service providers such as law firms, consultants, financiers, equipment manufacturers and supply agents. The main work of the RPA focuses on political lobbying to create an environment conducive to renewable energy development, including heat as well as electricity; communication with governments, the media and the public; and the provision of services to members. Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) consists of more than 2000 companies within the U.S. consumer technology industry.
